Frequently Asked Questions
How does the alarm work?
WakeRup uses Apple's AlarmKit, the same system the Clock app uses, so the alarm rings through silent mode and Do Not Disturb. Stopping it opens WakeRup, where you do your chosen wake-up task — scan the barcode you saved, or shake the phone — then stay up for a short timer and confirm. That confirmation is what counts for your streak.
What happens if I miss a confirmation?
If 30 minutes pass after your alarm without a confirmation, that morning counts as missed and your streak resets. Tip: when the alarm rings, unlock your phone and tap "Open WakeRup" — stopping it on the lock screen without unlocking doesn't open the app. Three missed mornings send the challenge back to day 1; your alarm keeps ringing at the same time.
Can I change my wake-up time?
Your wake-up time comes from the current challenge in your program. To change the plan — a new goal, different days, or a later start — tap "Adjust my plan" in the Coach tab; the dates move and challenges you've finished stay finished.
Can I set other alarms?
Yes. The Alarms tab holds your challenge's alarm and any alarms of your own — naps, the gym, the school run. Pick the days (or leave them empty to ring once), give it a name, and choose how to turn it off. They work like every WakeRup alarm: no snooze, and stopping one opens the app.
What's the daily check-in?
After each alarm morning, your coach asks what time you actually got up — on Home and in the Coach tab, prefilled with the time you confirmed (or the alarm time if you missed it). Logging it takes one tap, and your report (Coach → Reports) shows it against the alarm. If you don't log, nothing happens to your streak or challenge: you get one reminder two hours after the alarm, and that morning is simply left out of the report.
How do trophies work?
Every challenge ends in its own trophy — you can see it in the challenge's details on the Challenges tab, faded until you've earned it. Finish all its wake-ups and it's yours for good, even if you later move to an easier challenge.
How do friends work?
Add friends with their friend code. You can see whether each other woke up today and compare streaks on the leaderboard. Nobody ever sees your email. To remove, block or report someone, tap ··· next to their name (or on their friend request) — a blocked person is removed and can't add you again.
Does WakeRup work offline?
Yes. Your alarm will fire even without an internet connection. Wake-up confirmations are stored locally and automatically sync to the server when you're back online. You'll never lose a streak due to connectivity issues.
What devices are supported?
WakeRup is available on iPhone running iOS 26 or later. We use Apple's AlarmKit framework, which requires the latest iOS. Android is coming later.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly in the app: on Home, tap your avatar (top right) to open Profile, scroll down, and tap "Delete account." This immediately removes all your data, including your program, streaks, challenges and friendships. You can also email us at support@uselandslabs.com.
Is WakeRup free?
WakeRup is free to download, and there are no purchases in the current version. If we add a subscription later, the app will say clearly what it includes before you're ever charged.
Still need help?
We usually reply within a day. Anything about your data, including deletion, goes through the same button — though you can delete your account yourself in the app (Home → your avatar → Profile).
